About

I have been practicing as a therapist for the last 17 years, with the goal of supporting people in leading meaningful and full lives. Building a trusting connection with my clients based on respect and collaboration is extremely important to me. I have experience with a wide range of issues from navigating relationships and life transitions to personal growth, depression and anxiety.

We all deserve support to find our way to a good life where we can be authentic and have meaningful relationships. I am grateful to have found the support I needed (which hopefully will always continue) and am committed to supporting others in doing the same.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is genuine, who wants you have a good life and will challenge you from a place of respect and curiosity, then I might be a good fit for you.

My practice is LGBTQQIA affirming and welcoming to all genders and orientations, and is kink & poly friendly.

Training

I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies with a concentration in somatic psychotherapy. In addition to this, I’ve trained and continue training in the following approaches:

  • Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
  • Trauma resolution and somatic psychotherapy with: the Hakomi Institute, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Bill Bowen, Babette Rothschild
  • Jungian Oriented Psychotherapy at the SF Jung Institute
  • Authentic Movement
  • Ecopsychology and nature-based therapy with the School of Lost Borders and Earthways
  • Guided visualization at JFK University
  • Brainspotting – a technique that grew out of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Object Relations

I’ve studied nature-based therapy for many years and am trained as a wilderness rites of passage guide. I welcome clients who feel connected with nature and want to weave a nature-based component into their therapy.

Contemplative practices and a connection with nature support me in the work I do as a therapist. These paths have taught me the importance of tracking your true nature in order to experience the fullness of life and have deep connections with others.

Fees

Please contact me for my current fees.

For low fee or sliding scale therapy, I recommend Open Path Collective, Open Counseling, and CIIS Counseling Clinics.

Insurance

I do not take insurance or bill insurance directly. Many PPO plans will reimburse a portion of therapy costs for out of network providers. I can provide a billing statement that can be submitted to insurance. Contact your health insurance plan for details about what they cover and how to submit claims. You may be able to use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for sessions.
