Consultation & Supervision

Consultation & Supervision

I offer consultation for therapists and supervision for pre-licensed clinicians. I have long been interested in supporting therapists in skill development and helping them recognize their strengths. Some of the most profound training I’ve received myself has been through supervision and consultation. I strive to create a safe learning environment for all of the following and more:

  • theoretical explorations of case material
  • developing therapeutic presence
  • processing transference and counter transference dynamics
  • preventing or recovering from burnout
  • understanding the business side and financial issues of a practice

I invite you to be you, present with everything that is related to your work as a therapist.
Please note that I do not currently offer private practice internships.

Professional Consultation for Therapists

In consultation, I work mainly with early-career therapists who are growing their practice or deepening into their approach and confidence. I also work with therapists who are transitioning from part-time to full-time private practice. The first two years of my career post-licensure were spent splitting my time between private practice and community agency work. I understand what a leap it can be to move to full-time private practice, and the considerations that go into making that transition. Although I currently work with adults, I have many years of experience working with children ages 4-12.

My own approach to therapy is an important consideration when you’re looking for a consultant. The work I do with clients is integrative in that I bring training from the worlds of somatic, psychodynamic, Jungian, and AEDP perspectives. My work is present moment, with a foundation of somatic awareness, and a psychodynamic lens. I continue ongoing training and consultation in somatic therapy, AEDP, object relations, and eco psychology. You can read more about my training here.

I’m happy to schedule weekly, biweekly or as-needed (after a few weekly sessions to get established). You are welcome to schedule a phone consultation if you want to talk more about what support you’re needing and see if we might be a good fit.
